LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Clearance Sonar Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly is installed at the base of the driver side of the instrument panel.

When the clearance sonar main switch is turned on, an on signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU assembly. The LEXUS parking assist-sensor system operates according to this signal.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Sonar / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      Both of the following conditions are met:


      • The display changes as shown above when the clearance sonar main switch is operated.


      • "Normal" is displayed.

      • The display does not change as shown above when the clearance sonar main switch is operated.


      • "Normal" is displayed.

  2. INSPECT BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the H61 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
