DESCRIPTION

The back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly is installed at the base of the driver side of the instrument panel.

When the clearance sonar main switch is turned on, an on signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU assembly. The LEXUS parking assist-sensor system system operates according to this signal.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Sonar / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

    INSPECT BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly (Click here).

    2. A00084XE10

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      9 (IG) - 6 (ECU) Clearance sonar main switch on Below 1 Ω
      9 (IG) - 6 (ECU) Clearance sonar main switch off 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the H61 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      H61-38 (CLSW) - H3-6 (ECU) Always Below 1 Ω
      H61-38 (CLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
