DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor) is installed on the front bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (REAR LEFT CENTER SENSOR)


    1. Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (rear left center sensor) Click here.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR LEFT CENTER SENSOR - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the V2 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect the H61 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      V2-2 (S) - H61-8 (S4) Always Below 1 Ω
      V2-1 (E) - H61-9 (E4) Always Below 1 Ω
      V2-2 (S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
