CONDENSER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE NO. 5 INVERTER BRACKET

    Click here

  10. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

  11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  13. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT

  14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Remove the bolt and hood lock support sub-assembly.

  15. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH

  16. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH

      Disengage the 3 claws and guide, and remove the radiator side deflector LH as shown in the illustration.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  18. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Note

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  19. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 bolts.

      Pull the radiator assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow.

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. A0005JC

      Remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.
