PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H101 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the T11 roof console box assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H101-11 (IND1) - T11-6 (IND1) Always Below 1 Ω
      H101-12 (IND2) - T11-7 (IND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      H101-26 (SIG-) - T11-9 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
      H101-11 (IND1) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher
      H101-12 (IND2) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher
      H101-26 (SIG-) - Body ground Always 10 KΩ or higher

  2. INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the T11 roof console box assembly connector.

    2. Connect 2 dry-cell batteries in series.

      (Roof Console Box Assembly)

      Connect a positive (+) lead to terminal T11-6 (IND1) or T11-7 (IND2), and a negative (-) lead to terminal T11-9 (GND3) of the roof console box assembly connector.

    4. Check if the illumination for the emergency call switch comes on.

      OK
      The red indicator comes on when the positive (+) lead from the batteries is connected to terminal T11-6 (IND1) and the negative (-) lead is connected to terminal T11-9 (GND3).
      The green indicator comes on when the positive (+) lead from the batteries is connected to terminal T11-7 (IND2) and the negative (-) lead to is connected to terminal T11-9 (GND3).
