PROCEDURE

1. Click here

   CHECK SOUND LIBRARY SETTING OF HARD DISK DRIVE (HARD DISC) ON SOUND LIBRARY INFORMATION SCREEN

   
   
   1. 

      Enter the "Sound Library Information" screen. Refer to Check Sound Library Setting in Operation Check.

      Click here

   2. Select "ON" for the recording function setting for hard disk drive (hard disc).

   3. Check if recording is possible.

      OK
      Malfunction disappears.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

   CHECK FREE SPACE ON HARD DISK DRIVE (HARD DISC)

   
   

   1. Enter the "Sound Library Information" screen. Refer to Check Sound Library Setting in Operation Check.

      Click here

   2. 

      Check the free space on the hard disk drive (hard disc) on the screen.

      Result

     DELETE UNNECESSARY DATA FROM HARD DISK DRIVE (HARD DISC)

   CHECK IF AUDIO SYSTEM IS ON

   
   

   1. Check if the audio system is on.

      Tip:

      When the audio system is off, audio recording is not possible.

      OK
      Audio system is on.

      Result
      Proceed to OK NG

     TURN AUDIO ON

4. Click here

   CHECK IF RECORDING SETTING IS SET TO AUTO

   
   

   1. Check if the recording setting is set to AUTO.

      Tip:

      When the recording setting is set to manual, recording does not start automatically after a CD is inserted.

      Recording setting is set to AUTO.

      Result

     CHANGE RECORDING SETTING TO AUTO

5. Click here

   CHECK CD

      Check that the disc is not deformed or cracked.

      CD is not cracked or deformed

   CLEAN CD AND RECHECK

   
   
   1. 

      Clean the disc by wiping it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.

      Note:

      Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.

      Malfunction disappears.

   CHECK USING ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM

   
   

   1. Check if the CD plays normally on the navigation system of another vehicle of the same model.
