    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the H99 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H101 telematics transceiver connector.

    3. Disconnect the H62 front No. 2 speaker assembly connector.

    4. Disconnect the L6 and M5 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Disconnect the J2 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    6. Disconnect the N6 and O6 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    7. Disconnect the Q16 stereo component speaker assembly connector.

    8. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    4. Disconnect the L6 and M5 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Disconnect the J2 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    6. Disconnect the N7 and O7 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    7. Disconnect the Q15 and P32 rear header speaker assembly connectors.

    8. Disconnect the Q16 stereo component speaker assembly connector.

    9. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the front No. 2 speaker assembly with a new or known good one (Click here).

    2. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.
      Tip:
      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.

    1. Replace the rear No. 2 speaker assembly with a new or known good one (Click here).

    2. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      No DTCs are output.
      Tip:
      • Connect all the connectors to the rear No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left rear No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.
