DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU assembly receives vehicle speed signals from the skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) via CAN communication. The ECU provides appropriate assist force in accordance with the vehicle speed, based on the signals.

If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing and torque sensor zero point calibration (Click here).

    1. Check if DTC U0129 is output (Click here).

      U0129 is output (w/ Central Gateway ECU). B
      U0129 is output (w/o Central Gateway ECU). C
      Tip:

      DTC U0129 indicates a skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) communication malfunction in the power steering system.
