C1582 Assist Map Number Mismatch

DESCRIPTION

When an incorrect ECM, hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, an incorrect main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) or an incorrect skid control ECU (brake booster with master cylinder assembly) is installed after the assist map has been written the power steering ECU assembly, then DTC C1582 is stored because the data does not match the vehicle specifications.

  • If the power steering ECU assembly has been replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing and torque sensor zero point calibration Click here.

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

    1. Check for DTCs (See page for with Central Gateway ECU, Click here for without Central Gateway ECU).

  2. CHECK RELATED PART (ECM, HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY, MAIN BODY ECU AND SKID CONTROL ECU)


    1. Check if any of the parts listed below have been replaced with an incorrect part in the past.

      Skid control ECU (Brake booster with master cylinder assembly)

      Tech Tips


      • DTC C1582 is stored when a part with an incorrect part number is installed for the related parts listed above.

      • When DTC C1582 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
