DESCRIPTION

DTCs C2151/51 and C2152/52 are stored when open circuits are detected in the front tire pressure monitor initiator and rear tire pressure monitor initiator by the tire pressure monitor initiator driver and a malfunction signal is sent to the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.

      Turn the power switch off.

    2. When DTC C2151/51 is output:


      1. Disconnect the A56 front tire pressure monitor initiator connector.

    3. When DTC C2152/52 is output:


      1. Disconnect the P23 rear tire pressure monitor initiator connector.

    4. Using an oscilloscope, check waveform.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT/REAR TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR INITIATOR - TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR INITIATOR DRIVER)


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. When DTC C2151/51 is output:


      1. Disconnect the A56 front tire pressure monitor initiator connector.

    3. When DTC C2152/52 is output:


      1. Disconnect the P23 rear tire pressure monitor initiator connector.

    4. Disconnect the H79 tire pressure monitor initiator driver connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      When DTC C2151/51 is output:
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A56-1 (F IN) - H79-1 (FR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      A56-1 (F IN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A56-2 (F OT) - H79-2 (FR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      A56-2 (F OT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      When DTC C2152/52 is output:

      P23-1 (R IN) - H79-3 (RR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P23-1 (R IN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
