SEAT HEATER SWITCH(for Front Side) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH (for LH)

   
   

   1. Check the refreshing seat switch (for LH).

         *a	Component without harness connected (Refreshing Seat Switch (for LH))

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         Standard Resistance
         w/ Climate Control Seat System Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 9 - 16 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) off (heater position) 10 kΩ or higher 9 - 16 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on Vol: 3 (heater position) 400 Ω 1 - 7 Always 1.54 to 2.86 kΩ 2 - 7 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) off (blower position) 10 kΩ or higher 2 - 7 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on Vol: 3 (blower position) 38.5 to 71.5 Ω
         w/o Climate Control Seat System Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 9 - 16 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) off 10 kΩ or higher 9 - 16 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on Vol: 3 400 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch (for LH).

   2. Check operation of the refreshing seat switch (for LH) indicator.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check operation of the switch as shown in the table below.

         OK
         Connection Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 - Illumination comes on Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 9 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 8 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) ON Indicator comes on

         If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch (for LH).

2. INSPECT REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH (for RH)

   
   

   1. Check the refreshing seat switch (for RH).

         Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

         w/ Climate Control Seat System Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 9 - 12 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) off (heater position) 10 kΩ or higher 9 - 12 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on Vol: 3 (heater position) 400 Ω 2 - 7 Always 1.54 to 2.86 kΩ 1 - 2 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) off (blower position) 10 kΩ or higher 1 - 2 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on Vol: 3 (blower position) 38.5 to 71.5 Ω
         w/o Climate Control Seat System Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 9 - 12 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) off 10 kΩ or higher 9 - 12 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on Vol: 3 400 Ω

         If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch (for RH).

   2. Check operation of the refreshing seat switch (for RH) indicator.

      
      

      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check operation of the switch as shown in the table below.

         OK
         Connection Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 11 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 - Illumination comes on Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 9 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) ON Indicator comes on

         If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch (for RH).
