FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM(w/ Memory) Power Seat Power Easy Access System Function does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

When the power switch is off and shift lever is in P, the power seat slides rearward when the seat belt tongue plate is disengaged from the front seat inner belt assembly (for driver) (auto away function). Also the power seat slides forward when the seat belt tongue plate is engaged to the front seat inner belt assembly (for driver) with the power switch on (ACC or IG), and shift lever is in P.

Note


  • The front power seat control system (w/ Memory) uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there are no malfunctions in the communication system by checking the communication function of the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure Click here.

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT OPERATION


    1. Check that each function of the power seat operates normally by using the front power seat switch (for driver) Click here.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER))


    1. Disconnect the P24*1 or Q22*2 front seat outer belt assembly (for driver) connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (FOR DRIVER) - FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (FOR DRIVER))


    1. Disconnect the X10*1 or W10*2 front power seat switch (for driver) connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD

      P24-2 (L) - X10-9 (DRDC) Always Below 1 Ω
      P24-2 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
