B2090 Driving Support System Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt control ECU receives information from the driving support ECU assembly and brake booster with master cylinder assembly (skid control ECU) via CAN communication, and tightens the seat belts by operating the motor inside each front seat outer belt assembly.

When the driving support ECU assembly detects a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise control system and pre-crash safety system, the malfunction information is sent to the seat belt control ECU, which stores this DTC.

When DTC B2090 is stored, other DTCs are also stored by the driving support ECU assembly (dynamic radar cruise control system and pre-crash safety system).

Tech Tips

When clearing the DTCs, first clear the DTCs output from the driving support ECU assembly (Pre-Crash 2), and then clear the DTCs output from the seat belt control ECU.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Check for dynamic radar cruise control system DTCs Click here.

      OK
      Dynamic radar cruise control system DTCs are not output.

    NG

    GO TO DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY (PRE-CRASH 2))


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash 2 / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      "Pre-Crash 2" DTCs are not output.

    NG

    GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART Click here

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-CRASH SAFETY SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    6. Recheck for DTCs.

      OK
      DTC B2090 is not output.
