  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

      Remove the 9 clips and fold back the No. 1 engine under cover.

      Tech Tips

      It is not necessary to fully remove the No. 1 engine under cover. Partially remove it so that the engine oil level sensor can be removed in a later step.

  2. DRAIN ENGINE OIL


    1. Remove the oil filler cap.

    2. Remove the oil pan drain plug and gasket, and then drain the engine oil into a container.

    3. Install a new gasket and the oil pan drain plug.

      Torque:
      38 N*m  { 387 kgf*cm, 28 ft.*lbf }

  3. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts and engine oil level sensor.
