| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| P3000 | Rail Pressure Correction Value is Equal or Higher than the Maximum Limit |
| P3001 | Rail Pressure Raw Value is below Minimum Offset |
DESCRIPTION
The ECM monitors the internal fuel pressure of the common rail using the fuel pressure sensor, and controls the fuel quantity control valve to regulate the internal pressure to the target pressure. The pressure sensor is a semiconductor that varies electrical resistance when pressure is applied to its silicon chip.
This sensor outputs the voltage in proportion to the internal fuel pressure.
| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| P3000 | Fuel pressure sensor feedback value exceeds upper limit for 0.1 seconds or more (3 trip detection logic) |
|
| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| P3001 | Fuel pressure sensor feedback value falls below lower limit for 0.1 seconds or more (3 trip detection logic) |

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Note
When replacing the ECM and/or injector assembly, the ECM needs Registration and Initialization Click here.
Tech Tips
When the ECM must be replaced, before replacing the ECM, perform the "Learning Values Save" function using the GTS. Then after installing the new ECM, perform all of the initialization/registrations for the "Learning Values Write" function by following the instructions shown on the GTS display.
Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
