| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| P14A0 | Exhaust Gas Back Pressure Sensor Circuit Low |
| P14A1 | Exhaust Gas Back Pressure Sensor Circuit High |
DESCRIPTION
The differential pressure sensor (exhaust gas pressure sensor) is fixed to the engine by a holder to protect it from high temperatures.
The differential pressure sensor (exhaust gas pressure sensor) is connected to the exhaust manifold via a hose and pipe, and detects the exhaust gas system pressure downstream of the oxidation catalyst.
The differential pressure sensor (exhaust gas pressure sensor) is supplied with 5 V from the ECM and has a measurement range between 60 kPa (0.6 bar) to 200 kPa (2.0 bar). This is equivalent to 1.875 to 4.5 V.
| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| P14A0 | Differential pressure sensor (exhaust gas pressure sensor) value falls below lower permissible limit for 0.6 seconds or more (3 trip detection logic) |
|
| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| P14A1 | Differential pressure sensor (exhaust gas pressure sensor) value exceeds upper permissible limit for 0.6 seconds or more (3 trip detection logic) |

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Note
When replacing the ECM, the ECM needs Registration and Initialization Click here.
Tech Tips
When the ECM must be replaced, before replacing the ECM, perform the "Learning Values Save" function using the GTS. Then after installing the new ECM, perform all of the initialization/registrations for the "Learning Values Write" function by following the instructions shown on the GTS display.
Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
PROCEDURE
