  1. Supply Pump Learning Value Reset

    Tech Tips

    This function used to reset supply pump learning value stored in ECM upon replacing fuel supply pump assembly.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      Note

      Do not start the engine.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / Supply Pump Learning Value Reset.

      When the first screen is displayed, check the vehicle condition and push "Next".

      Tech Tips

      If an error occurs during learning value reset, check the vehicle condition, and then perform learning value reset again.

      When the screen indicating reset completion is displayed, push "Exit".

  2. EGR Learning Value Reset

    Tech Tips

    This function used to reset EGR learning value stored in ECM upon replacing EGR valve assembly.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      Note

      Do not start the engine.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / EGR Learning Value Reset.

      When the first screen is displayed, check the vehicle condition and push "Next".

      Note

      DTC P042F is output when performing EGR learning value reset. Therefore, after starting the engine, clear the DTCs.

      Tech Tips

      If an error occurs during learning value reset, check the vehicle condition, and then perform learning value reset again.

      When the screen indicating reset completion is displayed, push "Exit".

    7. Start the engine 3 times and keep the engine speed above 3000 rpm for 3 seconds each time.

  3. Air Flow Meter Learning Value Reset

    Tech Tips

    Reset of the air flow meter learning value and deterioration compensation value stored in ECM is necessary after replacing mass air flow meter.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

      Note

      Do not start the engine.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / Air Flow Meter Learning Value Reset.

      If an error occurs during learning value reset, check the vehicle condition, and then perform compensation reset again.

  4. DPF History Information Reset

    Tech Tips


    • This value is the ash accumulation volume in the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly (DPF catalytic converter) calculated by the ECM. If the ash accumulation volume in the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly (DPF catalytic converter) increases, the difference in pressure in front of and behind the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly (DPF catalytic converter) will increase. The difference in pressure in front of and behind the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly (DPF catalytic converter) is offset depending on the volume of accumulated ash.

    • When an exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly (DPF catalytic converter) is replaced, the DPF deterioration record stored in the ECM must be cleared.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / DPF History Information Reset.

      Tech Tips

      If an error occurs during history information reset, check the vehicle condition, and then perform history information reset again.

  5. O2 Sensor Learning Value Reset

    Tech Tips

    When an air fuel ratio sensor is replaced, the air fuel ratio sensor compensation learning value stored in the ECM must be reset.

    This function used to reset air fuel ratio sensor learning value stored in ECM upon replacing air fuel ratio sensor.


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Utility / O2 Sensor Learning Value Reset.
