HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Indicator Circuit

DESCRIPTION

In accordance with the shift lever position, each shift position indicator light will turn on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK SHIFT POSITION INDICATOR


    1. Turn the power switch on (ACC).

    2. Check that each shift position indicator light turns on correctly.

      Result

      All shift position indicator lights turn on simultaneously A
      Shift position indicator lights other than corresponding one turn on A
      Corresponding shift position indicator light does not turn on B
      No shift position indicator lights turn on B
    3. Turn the power switch off.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CHECK FOR SHORT TO GND)


    1. Disconnect the H211 and H212 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      H211-8 (INDR) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H212-12 (INDN) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H212-11 (INDD) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H212-10 (INDM) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Reconnect the H211 and H212 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.

    1. Disconnect the H211 and H212 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the H193 shift position indicator connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      H212-13 (INDP) or H193-5 (P) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H211-8 (INDR) or H193-4 (R) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H212-12 (INDN) or H193-3 (N) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H212-11 (INDD) or H193-2 (D) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H212-10 (INDM) or H193-1 (S) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Reconnect the H193 shift position indicator connector.

    5. Reconnect the H211 and H212 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.

  4. CHECK FUSE (ECU-ACC)


    1. Remove the ECU-ACC fuse from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      ECU-ACC fuse Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Install the ECU-ACC fuse.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the H193 shift position indicator connector.

    2. Turn the power switch on (ACC).

    4. Turn the power switch off.

    5. Reconnect the H193 shift position indicator connector.

    1. Turn the power switch on (ACC).

    1. Disconnect the H211 and H212 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.

    2. Turn the power switch on (ACC).
