After confirming that DTC P0A2C-247 or P0A2D-249 is output, use the GTS to check "Motor Temp No1" in the power management control ECU Data List.

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)


    1. B001VJRC02
      *A for LHD
      *B for RHD

      Check the connection condition of the power management control ECU connectors and the contact pressure of each terminal. Check the terminals for deformation, and check the connector for water ingress and foreign matter.

      - The connector is connected securely.
      - The terminals are not deformed and are connected securely.
      - No water or foreign matter in the connector.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (MOTOR TEMP NO1)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    4. Read the Data List.

  4. INSPECT HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY (MOTOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR)

      Disconnect the D14 motor temperature sensor connector.

      (Motor Temperature Sensor (Hybrid Vehicle Transaxle Assembly))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D14-1 (MMT) - D14-3 (MMTG) Power switch off 0.3436 to 1442 kΩ
    3. Reconnect the D14 motor temperature sensor connector.

  5. INSPECT POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU

      (Power Management Control ECU)

      Connect terminals 24 (MMT) and 25 (MMTG) of connector A31 of the power management control ECU.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Data List / Motor Temp No1.

    5. Read the Data List.

    1. Disconnect the D14 motor temperature sensor connector.

    2. Disconnect the A31 power management control ECU connector.
