PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      Airbag system DTCs are not output. A
      Airbag system DTCs are output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.

    5. Turn the power switch off.

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check for DTCs.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      P3107-215 is not output. A
      P3107-215 is output again. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

  5. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)


    1. Connect an oscilloscope between the airbag sensor assembly terminals specified in the table below.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    1. Disconnect the H1 power management control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the H36 airbag sensor assembly connector.

      Tech Tips

      As necessary, check that there is no short to power supply wires when performing the above wire harness inspection.

    4. Reconnect the H36 airbag sensor assembly connector.

    5. Reconnect the H1 power management control ECU connector.
