PROCEDURE
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs.

Turn the power switch off.
GO TO DTC CHART (AIRBAG SYSTEM) (Click here)
CLEAR DTC
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.
Turn the power switch off.
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Check for DTCs.

CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)
Connect an oscilloscope between the airbag sensor assembly terminals specified in the table below.
Turn the power switch on (READY).
Measure the waveform.

Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the power management control ECU connectors (Click here).

Check the connector connections and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the airbag sensor assembly connectors.

CONNECT SECURELY
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+B SHORT)
Remove the PM IGCT fuse from the No. 2 engine room relay block.

Remove the AM2 fuse and ECU-IG2 NO. 3 fuse from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.

Disconnect the H36 airbag sensor assembly connector.

Reconnect the H36 airbag sensor assembly connector.
Install the PM IGCT fuse, AM2 fuse and ECU-IG2 NO. 3 fuse.
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY)
Disconnect the H1 power management control ECU connector.
Disconnect the H36 airbag sensor assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

As necessary, check that there is no short to power supply wires when performing the above wire harness inspection.
Reconnect the H36 airbag sensor assembly connector.
Reconnect the H1 power management control ECU connector.
REPLACE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (Click here)
REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY WIRES)
Remove the PM IGCT fuse from the No. 2 engine room relay block.

Reconnect the A31, A33, H1 and H2 power management control ECU connectors.
Reconnect the H36 airbag sensor assembly connector.
