HYBRID TRANSAXLE OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET

    Click here

  3. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY TYPE T OIL SEAL


    1. Remove the left side oil seal.

        Using SST, remove the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly type T oil seal from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

    2. Remove the right side oil seal.

        Using SST, remove the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly type T oil seal from the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

  4. INSTALL HYBRID VEHICLE TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY TYPE T OIL SEAL


    1. Install a new left side oil seal.


      1. A000870E03

        Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly type T oil seal to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

        Oil seal installation depth
        -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      2. Coat the lip of the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly type T oil seal with MP grease.

    2. Install a new right side oil seal.


      1. A0007YVE03

        Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly type T oil seal to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

        Oil seal installation depth
        -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      2. Coat the lip of the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly type T oil seal with MP grease.
