OIL PUMP INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

If the transmission oil pump drive rotor or transmission oil pump driven rotor has been replaced, inspect the fluid pressure of the transmission oil pump cover sub-assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL PUMP DRIVE SHAFT


    1. Install the oil pump drive shaft to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP DRIVE ROTOR


    1. Coat the transmission oil pump drive rotor with ATF.

    2. Install the transmission oil pump drive rotor to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

  3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP DRIVEN ROTOR


    1. Coat the transmission oil pump driven rotor with ATF.

    2. Install the transmission oil pump driven rotor to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

  4. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL PUMP COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Clean and degrease the bolt holes of the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

    2. Coat a new O-ring with ATF and install it to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the O-ring.

    3. Install the transmission oil pump cover sub-assembly to the hybrid vehicle transaxle assembly with 5 new bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Make sure that the O-ring is not cut or pinched during installation.

    4. Coat a new O-ring with ATF and install it to the fluid pump cover plug.

    5. Install the fluid pump cover plug to the transmission oil pump cover sub-assembly.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

  6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  7. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

  8. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

  9. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

  10. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL LH

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1049 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
