      *3 Master Warning Light
      *4 Multi-information Display

The diagnosis function makes the cruise control indicator light go out, the master warning light turn on and displays a warning message when a malfunction is detected. When a malfunction occurs in the dynamic radar cruise control system, DTCs are stored in the driving support ECU assembly.

  2. DESCRIPTION

    1. The driving support ECU assembly controls the dynamic radar cruise control system of the vehicle. The data and DTCs relating to the dynamic radar cruise control system can be read from the DLC3 of the vehicle. Use the GTS to check and solve the problem.

Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Check that the cruise control indicator light illuminates when the cruise control system is turned on using the cruise control switch (ON-OFF button), and that the indicator light goes out when the cruise control system is turned off using the cruise control switch (ON-OFF button).

      Tech Tips

      • If the indicator check result has a malfunction, proceed to troubleshooting of the combination meter assembly.

      • While driving with the cruise control system controlling vehicle speed, the driving support ECU assembly will automatically cancel control of vehicle speed by the cruise control system when a malfunction is detected in one of the following: vehicle speed sensors, stop light switch assembly, or other related parts. When control of vehicle speed by the cruise control system is automatically canceled, the vehicle-to-vehicle cruise control indicator light goes out. In addition, a warning message may be displayed and malfunction data is stored as a DTC.
