RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

      Install the fan assembly to the radiator assembly with the 2 guides at the bottom and 3 claws on the top.

    2. Install the 2 lower radiator supports to the radiator assembly.

      Install the radiator assembly with fan assembly.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant), condenser assembly or pipe when installing the radiator assembly.

    4. Install the radiator assembly to the condenser assembly and radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.0 N*m  { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }

    5. Connect the No. 4 inverter cooling hose with the clamp.

    6. Connect the connector and the 2 clamps.

    7. Connect the 2 clamps.

  2. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

    2. Install the upper radiator support with the 5 bolts and connect the hood lock control cable clamp to the upper radiator support.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

    3. Connect the 3 connectors.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

  4. CONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING PIPE ASSEMBLY

      Temporarily install the bolt A.

    2. Install the bolt B.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

    3. Fully tighten the bolt A.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

  5. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose and clamp.

  6. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose.

  7. INSTALL RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the radiator reserve tank with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.0 N*m  { 71 kgf*cm, 62 in.*lbf }

    2. Connect the radiator reserve tank hose.

  8. INSTALL NO. 5 INVERTER BRACKET

  9. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  10. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  12. ADD COOLANT (for Engine)

  13. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine)

  14. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (w/o Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  15. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  16. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

  17. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (w/o Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  18. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  19. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH
