RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DRAIN COOLANT (for Engine)

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

    Click here

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (w/o Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

    Click here

  6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH

    Click here

  8. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (w/o Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  9. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (w/ Front Lower Bumper Absorber)

  10. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

  12. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  13. REMOVE NO. 5 INVERTER BRACKET

    Click here

  14. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY


    1. A0004LC

      Disconnect the radiator reserve tank hose.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and radiator reserve tank assembly.

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

      Disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      Disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose and clamp.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING PIPE ASSEMBLY


    1. A00069I

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 1 inverter cooling pipe assembly.

  18. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  20. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT


    1. A0008XI

      Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    2. A0004UXE01
      *1 for RHD:
      *2 for LHD:

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable clamp and remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

    3. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions.

  21. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A0009NX

      Disconnect the 2 clamps.

    2. A00068J

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and connector.

    3. A00069D

      Disconnect the clamp and No. 4 inverter cooling hose.

    4. A00082Q

      Remove the 4 bolts and separate the condenser assembly and the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant) from the radiator assembly.

      Remove the radiator assembly with the fan assembly.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the radiator assembly (for inverter coolant), condenser assembly or pipe when removing the radiator assembly.

    6. Remove the 2 lower radiator supports.

    7. A0008DQ

      Release the 3 claws and lift the fan assembly from the radiator assembly.
