The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during the rear seat outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
for 8NR-FTS:
for 3ZR-FAE:
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If an SRS part is accidentally deployed, it may cause a serious injury.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)
Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH.
w/o Pretensioner:
Loosen the nut.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Disengage the guides to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH with bracket.
Remove the nut.
Disengage the guides to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.
w/ Pretensioner:
Loosen the nut.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Disengage the guides to separate the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH with bracket.

Disengage the clamp.
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, pull out the locking button to release the lock to disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.
Remove the nut.
Disengage the guides to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly LH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly LH.
REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)
Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH.
w/o Pretensioner:
Loosen the nut.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Disengage the guides to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH with bracket.
Remove the nut.
Disengage the guides to remove the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH from the outer belt anchor bracket sub-assembly RH.
w/ Pretensioner:
