LIGHTING SYSTEM IG Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the ignition switch ON or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin*1.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC (ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Start Function))

    Tech Tips

    If the vehicle is not equipped with an entry and start system, proceed to next step (A).


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Power Source Control > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY POWER SOURCE - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the 3K instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.


    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      3D-30 or 3A-15 - Body ground Ignition switch off 10 kΩ or higher

  5. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.


    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.


    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
