DESCRIPTION
The clearance warning ECU assembly communicates with the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) circuit via CAN communication, and if it is determined that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) is malfunctioning, DTC C1647 is stored.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization may be needed. Refer to Calibration.
PROCEDURE
CHECK DTC OUTPUT
Using the GTS, check for DTCs according to the prompts on the screen.
Clear the DTCs according to the screen on the GTS.
Recheck for DTCs.
Tech Tips
DTC C1647 is stored when a malfunction signal sent from the vehicle stability control system is detected.
If the malfunctioning part has been repaired or replaced before rechecking for DTCs, DTC C1647 will not be output again.
If DTC C1647 is output frequently, duplicate the conditions that cause the problem symptoms and perform the inspection again, even though the DTC was not output when rechecking for DTCs.
