TOYOTA PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM(w/o Simple Intelligent Parking Assist System) CALIBRATION

Note

When the clearance warning ECU assembly have been replaced, be sure to perform Clearance Sonar Detection/Steering Adjustment. If not, the TOYOTA parking assist-sensor system may not operate correctly.


  1. BUMPER TYPE REGISTRATION


    1. Preparation


      1. Confirm that the following DTCs are not output.

        TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch ON.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar / Utility.


      Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Utility
      Tester Display
      Clearance Sonar Detection/Steering Adjustment

    6. According to the display on the GTS, perform calibration.

      Note

      Do not select "Battery or Steering Sensor" because doing so will make bumper type registration impossible.

    7. Enter the bumper type using the GTS.

      Standard 1

      Tech Tips

      If the clearance warning ECU assembly is replaced, it is necessary to perform bumper type registration.

    8. Disconnect the GTS from the DLC3.
