DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a microphone signal line is disconnected.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  2. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

      Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F51 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the R2 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F51-33 (MCVD) - R2-9 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      F51-34 (MCI+) - R2-8 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F51-35 (MCI-) - R2-7 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F51-33 (MCVD) or R2-9 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F51-34 (MCI+) or R2-8 (MCO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F51-35 (MCI-) or R2-7 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F51-32 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
