Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH
for TMC Made:
for TMMT Made:
REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH
Using SST, tap out the rear drive shaft oil seal LH.
Note
Be careful not to damage the rear differential carrier sub-assembly.
INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH
Coat the lip of a new rear drive shaft oil seal LH with MP grease.

Using SST and a hammer, install the rear drive shaft oil seal LH to the rear differential carrier sub-assembly.

| 6.7 to 7.7 mm (0.264 to 0.303 in.) |
Note
Tap the oil seal uniformly so that the oil seal is straight.
Do not tap the oil seal in too far.
