OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER

   
   

   1. Apply Toyota Genuine CVT fluid FE to 2 new O-rings, and install them to the transmission oil cooler.

   2. Install the transmission oil cooler to the continuously variable transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:

      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the O-rings.

   3. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose to the transmission oil cooler and slide the 2 clips to secure it.

      Note

      Fully insert the No. 3 water by-pass hose and No. 4 water by-pass hose to the 2nd rib on each oil cooler pipe.

2. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

3. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

4. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

   Click here

5. INSPECT FOR CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID LEAK

6. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

7. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
