PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (INTELLIGENT MANUAL TRANSMISSION SWITCH)


    1. Check the resistance.

        Component without harness connected

        (Pattern Select Switch Assembly (Intelligent Manual Transmission Switch))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        4 (IG) - 1 (GND) Switch pushed Below 1 Ω
        4 (IG) - 1 (GND) Switch not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the pattern select switch assembly (intelligent manual transmission switch).

    2. Check that the illumination illuminates.

        Component without harness connected

        (Pattern Select Switch Assembly (Intelligent Manual Transmission Switch))

        Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the switch, and check the illumination condition of the pattern select switch assembly (intelligent manual transmission switch).

        Standard
        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → 3 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → 2 (ILL-) Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the pattern select switch assembly (intelligent manual transmission switch).
