DESCRIPTION
When a new millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is installed, it receives vehicle specification information (destination, steering wheel position, 2WD or AWD, etc.) from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and stores the information.
DTC C1A02 is stored when the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cannot store the vehicle specification information from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
When replacing the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly always replace it with a new one. If a millimeter wave radar sensor assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.
PROCEDURE
CHECK FOR DTC (RADAR CRUISE 2)
Clear the DTCs.
Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
Tech Tips
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control main switch (ON/OFF button).
Wait for 2 seconds or more.
Check for DTCs.
