THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 WATER INLET HOUSING GASKET


    1. Install a new No. 2 water inlet housing gasket to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly.

  2. INSTALL WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  3. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for CVT)


    1. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  4. CONNECT NO. 4 WATER BY-PASS HOSE (for Manual Transaxle)


    1. Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose to the water inlet with thermostat sub-assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  5. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  6. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY


  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  8. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER
