RADIATOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. Install the O-ring to the radiator drain cock plug.

      Note

      Replace the O-ring if it is damaged.

    2. Install the radiator drain cock plug.

  2. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET


    1. Install the 2 radiator support grommets to the radiator assembly.

  3. INSTALL RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Install the 2 radiator support cushions to the radiator assembly.

  4. INSTALL INTERCOOLER COOLING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the fan shroud assembly to the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when installing the fan shroud assembly.

    3. Install the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud assembly to the vehicle.

  6. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  7. CONNECT SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  8. CONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (w/ Air Conditioning System)

    Click here

  9. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  10. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

  12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

  13. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

    Click here

  14. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 2 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  15. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 radiator hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  16. CONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

    2. Engage the 5 clamps to the the radiator assembly.

  17. CONNECT NO. 3 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 3 intercooler cooling water hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  18. CONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 1 water by-pass hose to the radiator assembly and slide the clip to secure it.

  19. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE


    1. Install the No. 2 radiator air guide to the radiator assembly with the 5 claws.

  20. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the upper radiator support sub-assembly together with hood lock support sub-assembly to the vehicle with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
    2. A005OVA

      Connect the wire harness connector to the cooling fan motor and lock with the lever.

    3. Engage the 7 clamps to connect the wire harness to the fan shroud.

    4. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the horn and hood lock support assembly.

    5. Engage the clamp to connect the hood control cable sub-assembly to the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

  21. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


  22. INSTALL HOOD LOCK NUT CAP

  23. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL

  24. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER

  25. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      13 N*m  { 133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf }

  26. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET


    1. Install the No. 1 air cleaner inlet to the upper radiator support sub-assembly and air cleaner case sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      4.0 N*m  { 41 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf }

  27. INSTALL ELECTRIC WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  30. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

  32. CHARGE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT (w/ Air Conditioning System)


  33. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

  35. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  36. WARM UP ENGINE (w/ Air Conditioning System)


  37. INSPECT FOR REFRIGERANT LEAK (w/ Air Conditioning System)
