RADIATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  3. DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler)

    Click here

  4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (w/ Air Conditioning System)


  5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


  6. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE ELECTRIC WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET

      Remove the 4 bolts and No. 1 air cleaner inlet from the upper radiator support sub-assembly and air cleaner case sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER UPPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A005PUE

      Remove the 4 bolts and front bumper upper reinforcement sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE RETAINER

  11. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR TO SUPPORT SEAL

    Click here

  12. REMOVE HOOD LOCK NUT CAP

    Click here

  13. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


  14. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *A for LHD
      *B for RHD

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the hood control cable sub-assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    2. A005OU1

      Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the horn and hood lock support assembly.

    3. A005P4P

      Disengage the 7 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the fan shroud.

    4. Lift up the lever to disengage the lock, and disconnect the wire harness connector from the cooling fan motor.

    5. A005P45

      Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly together with hood lock support sub-assembly from the vehicle.

  15. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE


    1. A005PH5

      Disengage the 5 claws to remove the No. 2 radiator air guide from the radiator assembly.

  16. DISCONNECT NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. A005P0J

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  17. DISCONNECT NO. 3 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE


    1. A005Q3A

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 intercooler cooling water hose from the radiator assembly.

  18. DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE


    1. A005OXZ

      Disengage the 5 clamps from the fan shroud.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.

  19. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  20. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

  21. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

  22. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT

  23. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE LH

    Click here

  24. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR AIR GUIDE RH

    Click here

  25. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

    Click here

  26. DISCONNECT COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A (w/ Air Conditioning System)

    Click here

  27. DISCONNECT SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  28. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Conditioning System)

  29. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the radiator assembly together with the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and fan shroud assembly from the vehicle.

    2. A005OJZ

      Disengage the 2 claws.

    3. Disengage the 2 guides, and remove the fan shroud assembly from the radiator assembly.

      Note

      Do not damage the radiator assembly when removing the fan shroud assembly.

  30. REMOVE INTERCOOLER COOLING RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

  31. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION


    1. Remove the 2 radiator support cushions from the radiator assembly.

  32. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT GROMMET


    1. Remove the 2 radiator support grommets from the radiator assembly.

  33. REMOVE RADIATOR DRAIN COCK PLUG


    1. Remove the radiator drain cock plug.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the radiator drain cock plug.
