PROCEDURE
REMOVE TURBOCHARGER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY
REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY
REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL
REMOVE FUEL VAPOR FEED PIPE
Remove the 2 bolts and fuel vapor feed pipe from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the water by-pass pipe union bolt and water inlet pipe gasket.
Remove the 3 bolts and water by-pass pipe sub-assembly from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
REMOVE VACUUM PUMP ASSEMBLY
REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
Slide the clip and remove the No. 1 water by-pass hose from the water inlet.
REMOVE NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR BRACKET
Remove the bolt and No. 1 heat insulator bracket from the cylinder block sub-assembly.
REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET
Remove the 3 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.
Remove the 3 bolts and 2 wire harness clamp brackets from the stiffening crankcase assembly.
Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp brackets from the stiffening crankcase assembly.
Remove the 2 bolts and wire harness clamp bracket from the timing chain cover assembly.
REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET (for AWD)
Remove the 3 bolts and drive shaft bearing bracket from the stiffening crankcase assembly.
REMOVE STUD BOLT
Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the timing chain cover assembly.
