AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM MAIN SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT AUTO HIGH BEAM SWITCH


    1. Check the resistance.


      1. A001SGRC09

        Component without harness connected

        (Auto High Beam Switch)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        6 (+B) - 3 (GND) Auto high beam switch on Below 1 Ω
        6 (+B) - 3 (GND) Auto high beam switch off 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the auto high beam switch.

    2. Check the illumination.


      1. Apply battery voltage to the auto high beam switch and check that it illuminates.

        OK
        Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 5 (ILL+)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4 (ILL-)

        		 Illuminates

        If the result is not as specified, replace the auto high beam switch.
