CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side)


    1. A001WP2

      Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      Note

      If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL

  4. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH

    Click here

  5. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT LH

    Click here

  6. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH

    Click here

  7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  8. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  9. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  10. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side)


    1. A001Y7XC01
      *1 Fuel Tube Sub-assembly
      *a Sensor Wire Connector

      Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly from the hose clamp.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the fuel vapor feed pipe from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    3. Disconnect the sensor wire connector.

      *a 10 mm Union Nut Wrench

      Using SST and a 10 mm union nut wrench, remove the bolt and camshaft position sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

      Note

      If the camshaft position sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    5. A001YCR

      Disconnect the camshaft position sensor connector to remove the camshaft position sensor from the sensor wire.
