THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the throttle body with motor assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      *1 No. 1 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose

      Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    3. A001W93

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

    4. A001TXO

      Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts.

      Note

      Do not drop the throttle body with motor assembly.

    5. Separate the intercooler assembly and remove the throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.

      Note

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

      Remove the throttle body gasket from the intercooler assembly.

    2. Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
