WHEN USING GTS
CAUTION:
Strictly obey all traffic rules and regulations.
Do not drive the vehicle with the GTS cable contacting the pedals, shift lever or steering wheel.
Driving the wheel with the GTS cable contacting these areas could impede vehicle control, resulting in a serious accident.
Do not operate the GTS while driving the vehicle.
Operating the GTS while driving the vehicle will prevent you from paying sufficient attention to vehicle surroundings, and could result in a serious accident.
INITIALIZATION
Note
Before replacing the ECM, refer to Service Bulletin (for Immobiliser System).
Before replacing the ECM, store the heavy knock history. After replacement, write the heavy knock history to the new ECM.
Initialize the heavy knock history after replacing the piston rings.
Perform Registration (VIN registration or frame number registration) when replacing the ECM.
Make sure to perform Reset Memory (CVT initialization), deceleration sensor zero point calibration and CVT oil pressure calibration when replacing the ECM or the oil pressure sensor (for CVT).

When the engine stop and start ECU is replaced, it is necessary to read the number of starter operations before replacement, and to store this number in the new engine stop and start ECU. Moreover, initialization/learning of the air conditioning information and initialization/learning of the deceleration sensor 0 point are also required (w/ Stop and Start System).
When the starter assembly is replaced, the number of starter operations stored in the engine stop and start ECU must be reset (w/ Stop and Start System).
When the starter assembly is replaced, "ST relay" must be also replaced.
When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, initialize the following system(s) after the cable is reconnected.
IGNITION SWITCH EXPRESSIONS

| Ignition Switch ACC | ACC | On (ACC) |
| Ignition Switch ON | ON | On (IG) |
| Engine Start | START | On (Start) |
PRECAUTION WHEN REPLACING COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.
