Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Loosen the nut and disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE BATTERY
Disengage the 2 claws to remove the fusible link cover.
Loosen the nut.
Disengage the clamp and disconnect the cable from the positive (+) battery terminal.
Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
Remove the bolt and No. 2 battery clamp.
Remove the battery from the vehicle.
