When the front bumper is damaged or deformed due to an accident or contact with other objects, etc., or the bumper installation area on the body is repaired, it is necessary to perform millimeter wave radar sensor adjustment.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION


    1. Change the grille shutter control mode to maintenance mode.

      Click here

      Note

      Make sure to change the grille shutter control mode to maintenance mode to prevent the grill shutter from opening or closing when the power switch is off.

  2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (for HFC-134a(R134a))

    Perform this procedure only when replacement of the front bumper reinforcement sub-assembly is necessary.

  3. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM (for HFO-1234yf(R1234yf))

  4. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

      Remove the 7 clips.

      B006IV0 Remove in this Direction (2)

      Disengage the 2 guides and remove the radiator support opening cover as shown in the illustration.

  5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

      B006IOI Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape around the front bumper assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      *1 Pin Hold Clip
      *a 90 deg
      B006IFV Remove in this Direction (1)
      B006IV0 Remove in this Direction (2)

      Using a screwdriver, turn each pin 90 degrees and remove the 2 pin hold clips.

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      Remove the screw.

      Remove the 10 screws.

      Disengage the 3 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

      Pull back the side of the front bumper assembly and disconnect the connector.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force when pulling back the front bumper assembly.
