DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assemblies operate the headlight leveling motors according to the vehicle conditions.

Note

If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Active Test
      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Drive The Leveling Motor Headlight leveling motor upward or downward operation Stop, Down or Up Perform the Active Test with the power switch is on (READY) and vehicle stopped

    1. Remove the headlight assembly LH.

      Click here

    2. Remove the headlight unit LH.

      Click here

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B-7 (ACTBI) - F-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      B-8 (ACTSI) - F-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      B-17 (ACTGI) - F-3 Always Below 1 Ω

  3. REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Replace the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH with a new or known good one.
