DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH receives signals indicating the vehicle speed signal from the brake booster with master cylinder assembly (skid control ECU) using CAN communication. The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B2415.

  • The automatic headlight beam level control system uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication functions by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the automatic headlight beam level control system after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly.

  • If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling*1 or AHS*2 / Trouble Codes.


      • *1: w/o Adaptive High Beam System

      • *2: w/ Adaptive High Beam System

    5. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs
      Body Electrical > AHS > Clear DTCs
      Result

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL AutoLeveling*1 or AHS*2 / Trouble Codes.


      • *1: w/o Adaptive High Beam System

      • *2: w/ Adaptive High Beam System

    5. Check for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes
      Body Electrical > AHS > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B2415 is not output.

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.


      Chassis > ABS/VSC/TRC > Trouble Codes
      OK
      Electronically controlled brake system DTCs are not output.
