DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor receives a signal from the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly to operate. The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight leveling motor. If either headlight leveling motor malfunctions, the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B2417 and B2418.

Note

If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Clear DTCs
      Result

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B2417 and B2418 are not output.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Active Test

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.
