ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SYSTEM Adaptive High Beam Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH detects adaptive high beam switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly) signals. The adaptive high beam system can be turned on and off by operating the adaptive high beam switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly).

Note

If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Data List

      OFF: Adaptive high beam switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly) is not operated

  2. INSPECT ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SWITCH (NO. 2 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Remove the adaptive high beam switch (No. 2 combination switch assembly).

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ADAPTIVE HIGH BEAM SWITCH (NO. 2 COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY) - NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the A15 No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I52-9 (+B) - A15-6 (AZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      I52-9 (+B) or A15-6 (AZSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I52-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
