DESCRIPTION

If the temperature of the forward recognition camera is excessively high and it has been determined that it is dark based on the output of the automatic light control sensor, the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores DTC B2437.

Note


  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced or removed and installed, be sure to perform adjustment of the forward recognition camera.

  • If the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the No. 1 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

DTC B2437 is only stored when it has been determined that it is dark based on the automatic light control sensor.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Clear DTCs
      Result
      Proceed to
      NEXT

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Move the vehicle to a cool place and ensure that the forward recognition camera is within the normal operating temperature.

    2. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

    3. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    5. Turn the GTS on.

    6. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AHS / Trouble Codes.

    7. Check for DTCs.


      Body Electrical > AHS > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTC B2437 is not output.
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    OK

    END (The system stopped operating due to high temperatures)

  3. REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA


    1. Replace the forward recognition camera.

    2. Perform Forward Recognition Camera Learning.

    6. Check for DTCs.

      OK
      DTC B2437 is not output.
